Nemertes Issue Brief: UCC Professional Service Trends for SMBs
Nemertes Issue Brief: UCC Professional Service Trends for SMBs
Overview:
Implementing unified communications and collaboration (UCC) lets distributed workers communicate and collaborate, regardless of physical location. For most organizations, large or small, the move towards UCC is inevitable. The workplace is becoming more virtual, with more employees working away from their supervisors and workgroups. To empower these employees, collaborative applications are vital. Workers must be able to exchange ideas, share documents, and manage projects across the globe, in real or nearreal time. Collaboration and communications tools must support or improve business processes, leading to gains in productivity, as well as measurable benefits in increased revenue and/or reduced operating costs. The challenge for small to midsize companies is how to most effectively roll out these services. Sometimes the job is too big for internal resources to handle and they must enlist the help of third-party professional service providers.
