Ethernet 3300 (ASE3300) to encrypt and optimize traffic across Ethernet MAN/WAN
connections, especially data center to data center (DC-DC) links. The ASE3300
does wirespeed encryption and up to 10 to 1 compression of Ethernet traffic,
adding error-correction that dramatically reduces retransmits.

Nemertes' Advanced Communications Services benchmark finds 53% of
