IT Administrator Responsibilities:



  • Strong project management and self-discipline – detail-oriented, meticulous
  • Responsible for level-1 support to all Nemertes employees
  • Responsible for provisioning new laptops
  • Responsible for supporting mobile strategy (voice/data) infrastructure
  • Responsible for supporting company telecommunications infrastructure
  • Responsible for new IT projects

    • Collecting and documenting user requirements
    • Understanding and documenting business processes
    • Creating RFPs and proposals
    • Evaluating software solutions and creating complex architectures that link solutions together
    • Evaluating vendors and presenting proposals to management
    • Project managing projects, tracking deliverables and reporting to CIO
    • Development of web applications using LAMP (PHP) and Drupal
    • Development of integration middleware using XML, SOAP and REST
    • Maintenance of LAMP infrastructure

  • Responsible for IT outsourcer relations including:

    • Project managing deliverables and open tickets
    • Tracking, reconciling and managing billing and budget
    • Evaluating new IT services and service providers


Technical expertise requirements:



  • Windows, Mac and Linux OS – in depth
  • Programming skills in a modern language (PHP a plus)
  • System administration of servers (LAMP stack a plus)
  • Content Management Systems experience (Drupal, Alfresco plus)
  • Markup languages HTML, CSS, XML
  • Information Security skills (Policy, implementation, attitude)

Salary &Benefits: $45,000 to $65,000 plus performance bonus and benefits

Location: Open; telecommuter position

Education: Bachelor’s or technical degree.
