Highlights expansion in wireless, mobility, collaboration
NEW YORK … August 1, 2006 – Collaboration expert Irwin Lazar and wireless specialist Christopher Kardish have joined Nemertes Research—both bolstering Nemertes groundbreaking research in key growth areas.
Joining as principal analyst and program director, Lazar will leverage his extensive research experience in voice over IP (VOIP), video over IP, SIP, presence, and real-time communications technologies in his new role at Nemertes. He will lead Nemertes’ collaboration, VOIP, and convergence research.
A widely respected writer and presenter, Lazar is the conference director of MPLSCon, an advisory board member of CMP’s Collaborative Technologies Conference, creator and administrator of "The MPLS Resource Center,” and eloquent speaker at industry trade shows and including VoiceCon, Interop, and Collaborative Technologies Conference. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the Gerson Lehman Group "Council of Technology Advisors" and Vista Research’s "Society of Industry Leaders." He is a CISSP and holds an MBA from George Mason University. Most recently, he served as senior analyst/consultant at Burton Group.
Joining as principal analyst, Kardish draws upon 25 years of experience as an engineer and wireless/networking consultant and engineer. He will cover wireless and mobility strategies for Nemertes.
Kardish is a highly regarded consultant who has designed wireless networks for enterprises and government agencies, including NASA. He holds master’s degrees in electrical and mechanical engineering from the University of Florida and Purdue University, respectively, and a BS in electrical engineering & computer science from The Johns Hopkins University. Previously, he held senior engineering positions with ARINC and IBM.
Both analysts will create benchmarks based on enterprise best practices, cost models, and toolkits, and deliver briefings and strategy sessions to Nemertes’ clients. They will report to Robin Gareiss, Nemertes’ executive vice president & senior founding partner.
