Highlights expansion in wireless, mobility, outsourcing, channels, governance, risk and compliance

 

Mokena, IL – Sept. 19, 2007 – Nemertes Research welcomes three analysts to the team to help bolster the company’s groundbreaking research in key growth areas, including wireless technologies, compliance, professional and outsourced services, channel strategies, and Service-Oriented Architectures.

Mike Jude, joining as senior analyst, brings 30 years of experience in technology management in manufacturing, wide-area network design, intellectual-property management, and public policy.  His area of expertise at Nemertes is wireless technologies and mobility strategies. Jude holds degrees in electrical engineering and engineering management respectively, and a Ph.D. in decision analysis.

In addition to consulting and advising industry-leading companies, Jude is a respected author of numerous industry-defining studies and has written columns for Business Communications Review, eWeek, Tech Target and Network World Fusion. He is the co-author of the book, The Case for Virtual Business Processes: Reduce Costs, Improve Efficiencies and Focus on You Core Business, Cisco press, 2003.

Joining as principal research analyst, Ted Ritter draws upon 20 years of experience in information security, and telecom technology. A CISSP, Ritter leads Nemertes’ research on information stewardship, which includes compliance, as well as the management, access, storage, and back up of data.   

Ritter is a highly regarded analyst who has designed, implemented and supported telecom and information security solutions for commercial, federal and international clients. Ritter holds a master’s degree in telecommunications management from The George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from Oberlin College.

Katherine Trost joins as a research analyst heading Nemertes’ research in hosted, managed, and professional IT services, as well as outsourcing and channels.

Trost brings 18 years of experience in network connectivity, mechanical and electrical engineering design, test, and quality assurance to the team. She was most recently a senior printed circuit designer and subject matter expert at Panduit Corp. Trost is also an expert in project management, and leads Nemertes’ research operations.

Nemertes’ veteran analyst John Burke will lead Nemertes newest benchmark on Service-Oriented Applications and Architectures.

All analysts will create research benchmarks, market analyses, and cost models based on conversations with enterprise IT executives and key industry vendors, and will deliver briefings and strategy sessions to Nemertes’ clients. They will report to Robin Gareiss, Nemertes’ executive vice president and senior founding partner.
