NEW YORK, NY – November 03, 2009 – Nemertes Research announced this year’s PilotHouse Innovator Awards by recognizing 16 IT organizations for their outstanding deployment of information technology.
Nemertes conducts detailed analysis of about 200 businesses and organizations of all sizes, using scorecard to identify those that effectively leverage technology in pursuit of business benefits, such as improved uptime and performance, increased agility, decreased operating costs, and overall superior IT service delivery.
“Winners this year range from small to large businesses, schools and universities to non-profits. This documents that any size organization in any industry can be innovative with its IT strategy,” says Robin Gareiss, executive vice president and senior founding partner, Nemertes. “Competition for a PilotHouse Award is very tough, so the IT leaders within these organizations truly demonstrate the thought leadership required to make IT a strategic part of overall strategy and operations.”
The scorecard includes criteria such as the number of high-business value IT initiatives developed and the number of leading-edge technologies deployed. No vendors sponsored this research or influenced the construction of the scorecard.
Innovator award categories and winners are as follows:
• Best Overall IT Innovators: AAA Mid-Atlantic, Indiana University, Medtronic, OppenheimerFunds
