Two instant-messaging announcements last week highlight the growing maturity of IM in the enterprise, as vendors offer increasingly robust and targeted solutions for companies that want to control and secure their IM networks. Those issues rank as top concerns for IT executives, 67% of whom have told Nemertes Research that security is critical, and 52% of whom require compliance solutions for IM systems as well.
