Carrier Ethernet is fast emerging as a credible and effective WAN technology, particularly for a handful of use cases including data-center interconnection, contact-center connectivity, and the interconnection of other sites generating (or receiving) large volumes of traffic. Benefits of Carrier Ethernet include lower cost (measured in price per Mbit/s) and lower complexity in many scenarios.
